About FlightPayout
FlightPayout is an independent website with one job: tell you, in under 30 seconds, whether an airline owes you money under EU261 or UK261 — and be honest about it either way.
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. We don't collect claims, we don't store flight details, and there is no account to create. The rules it applies are the published text of Regulation (EC) 261/2004, its UK equivalent, and the court rulings that interpret them — each verdict cites the specific rule it relied on.
How we make money
If the checker says you have a claim and you choose to start it through the claim-service link we show, that service pays us a referral commission. This is the site's only revenue source, and it never changes your payout.
Two things keep this honest. First, the calculator shows €0 verdicts plainly — around half of real-world checks don't qualify, and pretending otherwise would just waste your time. Second, every page explains that claim services keep roughly 25–35% of the payout and that claiming directly with the airline is free, with step-by-step instructions for the free route on every airline page.
What this site is not
We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice — it's general information to help you decide what to do next. Limitation periods, court practice and airline behaviour vary by country. For the full small print, see the legal page.
